Storyline

Ichigo is just a normal teenager, who has a special ability to see spirits. One day Ichigo see a spirit attack by monster and tries to help her. But suddenly a girl in a black kimono with a Katana appears and quickly defeats this monster, before Ichigo can ask her anything, she just disappears.

On the same night, this same girl reappears in Ichigo bedroom and completely ignores what Ichigo is saying to her. This makes him really angry and he kicks this stranger, which make her to realize that he has the ability to see her. She explains to Ichigo that she is a shinigami and her name Rukia.

Their conversation is cut short when another monster attacks Ichigo house, along with his two little sisters. Rukia explains to Ichigo that this monster is a Hollow, evil sprite and can only be defeated a by Soul Slayer. After Rukia is injured in the fight while protecting Ichigo, she decides to transfer half of her powers to Ichigo and hopes that he's able to defeat the Hollow. But Ichigo ends up absorbs all of Rukia powers and is easily able to defeat the Hollow.
