Storyline

After losing their mother, Alphonse and Edward Elric, try to bring her back to life by using forbidden human alchemy. However, alchemy operates on the theory of equivalent trade and breaking human alchemy taboo carries a very heavy price. During the process Ed loses a leg and Al loses his entire body. But Ed is able to seal Al's soul into a huge suit of amour, at the cost his arm.

Years have passed, Ed left leg and right arm are fitted with two sets of Automail, a type of advanced prosthetic limb and a State Alchemist called, Fullmetal Alchemist. However, Al is still stuck inside the armor. There only hope now is to find the Philosopher's Stone to restore their body back to normal.
