Storyline

The story takes place in a world called Ivalice, where two kingdoms Arcadia Empire and Rosaria Imperium have been at war for years. Arcadia Empire has been invading their neighboring kingdoms, one by one. Kingdom of Dalmasca was conquered by Arcadia Empire and is under Arcadia rule.

In the capital city of Dalmasca, Rabanastre there is boy called Vaan, who dreams of becoming a sky pirate and escaping the Empire on his own airship. Vann meets a girl, who is the leader of the underground Dalmascan resistance and later finds out that she is the only sole surviving heir to the Dalmascan throne, Princess Ashe. Now Vaan most help Ashe to free her kingdom from the Arcadia Empire.
