Airship
The airships in the game come in many different shapes and sizes, but are relatively high tech aircraft. The party primary airship is known as the Strahl. Most of the airship names, which are used for the battleships, are know as the Final Fantasy summons name, such as Ifrit, Dreadnought Leviathan, Atomos, Light Crusier Shiva, Garland, Alexander and Sky Fortress Bahamut.
The most important airship in the game is Balthier and Fran, the Strahl, which is used to fly the party around Ivalice. The Sky Fortress Bahamut was created by Dr. Cid and is charged with power of the Sun Cryst destruction.
Chocobos
The player is able to rent Chocobos to travel and when the Chocobo is provided with a Gysahl Green it will force the Chocobo to sprint, but only for short time. Once the time is up the Chocobo will return and the player will have continue on foot. While ridding the Chocobo, the player is ignored by all monsters.
